London Basketball Development Academy — CIC
ELITEBASKETBALLFOR LONDON.
Elite-level basketball coaching and strength & conditioning with a boxing edge — for anyone, whatever your age or background. We remove the barriers so you can enjoy basketball and get fit in a safe environment, through community projects running all year round.
The manifesto
Three chapters. One promise.
Chapter 01Access over everything
Elite basketball development in London has a price tag. We exist to open doors — running community projects throughout the year that put professional-standard coaching within reach of anyone who needs it but can't access it. Our unique twist: boxing strength & conditioning woven into every project — footwork, rhythm and toughness that translate directly onto the basketball court.
Chapter 02Elite-level coaching
Community doesn't mean second-rate. Our projects are built and delivered like a professional academy: structured skill work, game IQ, position-specific development and competitive play.
Chapter 03Strength & conditioning
Athletes are built off the ball. Every project includes proper S&C — movement quality, power, injury prevention and nutrition education — the same foundation professional academies are built on.

Director of Athlete & People DevelopmentRhyce Donegal
Elite basketball coach and player development specialist dedicated to preparing international prospects for the collegiate and professional levels.
Also an AAU Head Coach with APEC Basketball in the US, Rhyce previously spent four years shaping top-tier talent at the prestigious Spanish Basketball Academy in Madrid. His methodology eliminates static drill work in favour of rigorous video micro-audits, live-defense scenarios and high-contact game translation — backed by over a decade of professional playing experience across Europe.
Director of Strength & Conditioning — BoxingMaridanna Walker
Maridanna is a boxing specialist who combines the principles of boxing with strength and conditioning to help athletes become more powerful, explosive, resilient and physically prepared for performance.
His approach translates the unique demands of boxing — footwork, coordination, movement, reaction, endurance, rotational power and mental toughness — into athletic development for basketball players, helping them move better, compete harder and perform at a higher level on the court.
